### Client-side Filtering

On Object Mapping page, you can enter filtering criteria in the form of a Salesforce formula field in Salesforce-side Filter Criteria field. The formula text should have a Boolean return type and records that do not match the criteria are excluded from the sync.​

### Server-side Filtering

Filters from External systems are used for *e.g.* oData for Exact Online.   
For Sync API and Inbound, operators like *eq* or *ne* along with String values can be used.
