In FieldBuddy there are numerous types of limitations:

- Platform limitations
- Licence limitations
- Application limitations
- Fair use limitations

# Platform limitations

As mentioned in [https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5262802967](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5262802967), our solutions runs on the Salesforce platform.

Due to the fact that it is a multitenant environment, the platform engine strictly enforces limits so that runaway all the code code or processes don’t monopolize shared resources. If any exceeds a limit, the associated governor issues a runtime exception that can’t be handled.

There are various types of limits, like Per Organisation limits, Per Transaction limits, Platform Limits, Email Limits, Callout Limits (when integrating with 3rd-party service)

> ℹ️ FieldBuddy itself is being build in a way that it uses as little of those limits as possible. But due to possibility of customisations and extensions based on the platform, it is always important to be aware of the limits

# Licence limitations

Each user has a licence. Depending on type of license certain restrictions are applicable. FieldBuddy platform licenses are the same as ‘OEM User License’. Please visit this guide for additional information on those licenses:

Other licences are: System Administrator, Customer Community, Customer Community Plus. Ask support for more information.

# Application limitations

# Fair Use limitations

FieldBuddy uses numero's of external systems in which a fair-use policy is applicable. These systems are:

1. Geolocation services (transforms addresses into GPS-coordinates)
2. Smart Planning provider (route planning optimalisation)
3. Communication services (sending mail, sms)

For each of these services fair-use is applicable. These services are monitored by FieldBuddy. For Geolocation services and Communication services, the customer can use their own API key’s. Ask support for more information.
