### What is Find who is nearby?

> ℹ️ This feature can only be used on data loaded in the Planning section (~8 weeks). Navigating closer to the searched date will load the appropriate appointments and display them in the table.

Find who is nearby is an enterprise feature allowing you to quickly find who is going to be close to a selected work order at a selected time. When using live resource locations, it can also find who is nearby right now.

### For who is Find who is nearby?

This feature is suitable for planners who get urgent or high-priority work orders and need to find a place in an existing schedule regardless of availability.

### What are its features?

It allows planner to right-click a work order in the work order table and select the new context menu action “Find who’s nearby“.

Clicking this option will open a panel containing additional prompts for the timeframe in which to search, as well as information about the order.

The choices for when to look are:

- Now - Searches through recent live resource locations and displays a list of resources that are close to the work order location.
- Specific day - Searches through appointments happening on the selected day.
- Date range - Searches through appointments between the two selected dates.

Another option is the “Only for displayed resources“ checkbox. If it’s enabled it only searches within the set if displayed resources respecting any filtering done. If disabled, all active resources will be searched through.

The resulting table contains nearby resources in case of the “Now” option.

> ℹ️ Live resource locations are only considered if they were last updated less than 24 hours ago.

While the table for the “Specific day“ and “Date range” options contains nearby appointments.

> ℹ️ Appointments are only shown if they are closer than 50km.

Results are displayed 20 items at a time with a button to load more results when possible.

Clicking on one of the results will highlight the appointment or resource in the planning section, allowing you to plan the work order by dragging it with the “arrows” icon next to its name, to the appropriate place.
