# Location Actions

You may press the hamburger button to display actions you can take with regards to a location. This launches a context menu where you can take one of the several actions.

Actions are dependent on the location. As you scroll through the locations, you may see different actions depending on the properties of the locations, or the actions may change behavior depending on the properties of the location.

For example, because installed product locations are coordinate based, and work order locations are address based, the “Copy” action copies the address of the work order locations, and coordinates of the installed product locations.

Here are the details of all actions that are available:

| **Action** | **Description** | **Conditions to be enabled** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| #### Copy | Copies the address of the location to clipboard. If address is missing (i.e. installations), coordinates are copied. | None |
| #### Navigate | Allows you to navigate to the location using the navigation app of their choice. | None |
| #### Open/Close map | Opens/closes the map. | None |
| #### Add
> ℹ️ Requires Enhanced map flag
> ℹ️ Requires Enterprise | Allows you to add a location to the work order’s installation. | Work order’s installation must not have a sublocation |
| #### Edit
> ℹ️ Requires Enhanced map flag
> ℹ️ Requires Enterprise | Allows you to edit the location of the work order’s installation. | Work order’s installation must have a sublocation |
| #### Expand
> ℹ️ Requires Enhanced map flag
> ℹ️ Requires Enterprise | Expands the map to the full screen, and draws the route to the location on the map. | None |
| #### View installation | Goes to the installation screen with selected installed product. | Work order must be location based; current selection must be an installation |

# Navigation to Locations

FieldBuddy Swift allows you to navigate to locations using some third party navigation apps. Navigation is also supported in this component.

Following navigation apps are supported: Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze.

| **Navigation Option** | **Does it have to be installed on your device to show up as an option?** |
| --- | --- |
| Google Maps | No |
| Apple Maps | Yes |
| Waze | Only on iOS; always shown on Android |

## Remembering Navigation App Choice

FieldBuddy Swift can remember the choice of the navigation app if you wish so.

# Creating and Editing Installed Product Locations

> ℹ️ Requires Enhanced map flag and Enterprise

Installed product locations, unlike work order locations, are coordinate based. This means that you must select a coordinate on a map to create/update them via FieldBuddy Swift.

If an installed product does not have a location, user may add it. It is not possible to add more than one location to an installation.

If latitude and longitude fields of an installation location are empty, you will see a text informing you of this, and will be also prompted to enter the coordinates.

A description may also be added when adding a location. This is usually to mark the name of the location.

# Routes within Work Order

> ℹ️ Requires Enhanced map flag and Enterprise

FieldBuddy Swift can display routes within a work order in a full screen map view.

---

Displayed locations are the locations within a work order (for example, main address of the work order and its installations).

Routes are drawn and calculated between your location, and the location to navigate to.

Example:

- Route 1: Your location → Location 1
- Route 2: Your location → Location 2
- Route 3: Your location → Location 3
- …
- Route #N: Your location → Location #N

There is no inherent order between locations.

**In this mode, routes are calculated lazily.** This means that route calculation will only take place when the you scroll to the destination. You must have a reliable internet connection while route calculation is taking place.

---

In this screen, distance and duration of the route is also displayed.

These information are traffic-sensitive, so route between two specific location may change between different hours of day depending on traffic conditions.

The delays related to traffic congestion are shown in parantheses next to duration.

## “More Options” Context Menu

You can use the “More options” context menu to jump to various locations on the map.

| **Action** | **Description** | **Conditions to be enabled** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| #### Where I am | Zooms in on your position. | None |
| #### Destination | Zooms in on the location’s position. | None |
| #### Route | Zooms in on the route between user’s location and destination. | Routes must be toggled on |
| #### Toggle routes on/off | If on, the routes are drawn between the your position and the position of the current location. | None |
