Hey FieldBuddy Planners! We've just rolled out some exciting updates in the latest FAST RING release for our 1.147.22 package version. It is expected to be rolled out on 18th Feb 2025!

# 🗓 Improvements

## Quickly Plan a Work Order

This feature is **enterprise only**.

This handy new feature allows you to right-click an empty spot in the scheduler and pick a suitable work order to place in this spot.

This new Work Order Finder sorts the Work Orders by their proximity to the surrounding appointments and adds real travel times and distances to and from the Work Order.

## Improved Scheduled Period (Timeframe)

Appointments already had the option to define a period in which the one should take place. We have improved visualisation and adjustment of there fields with a few small, but powerful new features

### Timeframe Popover

There’s now a new button when hovering over an appointment that opens a small window on top of the event. This window allows you to set a scheduled period for an appointment, modify it, or clear it completely, without having to edit the appointment via context menu.

#### **Show Timeframe **

When a scheduler period is set on an appointment; selecting, dragging or resizing it will display a visual indication of where this scheduled period starts and ends.

#### **Constraint Appointment to Scheduled Period**

Dragging or resizing an appointment outside of its scheduled period will be prevented. The appointment will visually not be able to be dragged or resized outside the scheduled period.

## **Listing Limits**

t is possible to change the default limit of work order in Listing from 500.

It can be done in [Configuration Panel](https://help.fieldbuddy.com/space/FBDOCS/5365268532/Configuration+Panel) → Setup Dispatch Panel

## **Visual Improvements**

- The scheduler has a new higher visibility mode. It can be enabled in user settings
  - This mode increases visibility by making lines between resources and between time slots bigger and darker.
- Filters at the top will now clearly show when and which filters are active and how many values are currently selected.
- Highlighting items on the map now shows an improved panel with detailed information about the highlighted item.
- Minor improvements for the Optimize (Smart Planning) popup window.
  - Made the window bigger.
  - Increased the size of the Work Order selection panel so more information can fit in.
  - Improved lists for selecting Resources and Work Orders to allow changing the selected items directly without needing additional clicks.
- Some right-click actions will now be disabled if they wouldn’t do anything.
  - For example: Showing a Work Order in the scheduler when the Work Order is unplanned.
- When using the “Show in Scheduler” action, the shown appointment now bounces.
  
- Performed minor redesign of the Dispatch Panel in order to improve readability and add more visual consistency
  - Changed the colour of highlighted rows, tooltip headers, etc. from a light orange to a light blue color.
  - Text filters are now highlighted in a light blue colour if they’re active.

- Updated used libraries, improving application security.

# 🛠 Fixes

- Improved the performance of the Map panel.
- Fixed an issue, if the displayed date was changed too far into the future (or past) any unsynced added appointments would be lost.
- Fixed an issue where some information was hidden when viewing Work Orders on the map.
- Fixed map markers sometimes getting stuck and always be displayed on the map.
