The Map, located on the right side of the screen, can display markers of appointments from [https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/6004899841](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/6004899841) and work orders from current listing from [https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/6004375557/Bottom+Section#Work-Orders-tab](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/6004375557/Bottom+Section#Work-Orders-tab), start/end/live locations of resources and show predicted routes for individual resources.

You can move the map by clicking and dragging the map using the left mouse button, or rotate and tilt the map by clicking and dragging the map using right mouse button.

## Markers

The map displays markers for different work orders, appointments and resources.

Resource markers display the avatar of that specific resource (including a profile picture if they have one).

Appointment markers will have the color of their assigned resource for visual clarity.

If there are multiple markers at the same address, a “group” marker will be shown instead with a number meaning how many individual markers it contains.

Each marker can be clicked to display more detailed information about it. Some markers even have actions attached to them.

## Routes

Routes for planned appointments can be displayed through context menu actions or the Manage Routes modal. When routes are added, they are displayed on the map as a colored line, using the color of their assigned resource. Hovering over a route will highlight it on the map.

If a single route is shown (using the “Route” context menu option) it will also show travel information such as the distance traveled and a time estimate.

Markers will also changed when they are a part of a route. Appointment markers will have numbers on them indicating which stop they are along the route. Group markers will display a “!” when they contain an appointment that is part of a route. Clicking on a group marker will open an information popup and any appointments that are a part of the route will have a number indicating which stop it is next to their name.

Whenever appointments change, get added or removed, routes will not immediately update. Instead a button at the top of the map will be displayed. Pressing this button will refresh the displayed routes, adjusting the routes based on the changed appointments.

## Map Controls

The map has a variety of different controls, some contextual, some always shown.

### Fullscreen

Makes the map fullscreen

### Zoom and orientation

The + and - buttons adjust the current zoom level of the map. The compass arrows reset the map orientation to face north.

### Legend

Shows a handy list of resources and their colors when viewing multiple routes on the map.

### Refresh routes

This button shows up when appointments for displayed routes were changed in scheduler. Pressing this button will display the latest routes, accounting for any added, removed or changed appointments.

### Showcase information

When “showcasing” a Resource, Work Order, Appointment or Route (by using the “Route” or “Map” context menu actions) a little information bar is displayed in the top left corner of the map. To stop showcasing an item, simply press the “x” on the bar or press the escape key.

When showcasing a route, there’s also a **Open in Google Maps** button in the showcase window. Clicking this button will open the route in Google Maps in a new browser tab.

> ⚠️ The directions shown in Google Maps can slightly differ from the ones shown in the Dispatch Panel.

### Warning

If there are any map-related issues, a small warning indicator will be displayed in the upper-left corner of the map. Hovering over this indicator will show a message specifying which displayed data might be invalid.
