Events are processes that happen in Fieldbuddy Swift — the app produces (or "fires") a signal of some kind when an event occurs, and provides a mechanism by which an action can be automatically taken (that is, some code running) when the event occurs.

There are many different types of events that can occur in Fieldbuddy Swift,

- Press,
- Input Value Change,
  - Typing with keyboard,
  - Checking a box,
  - Reading barcode and QR codes,
  - Confirming or cancelling various actions,
  - …
- Navigation to and away from screens.

# Event Configuration

Events can be configured in many possible ways in order to:

- Select the type of event,
- Pinpoint specific data needed for event,
- Specify the target of event.
- Base event on specific conditions, etc.

Properties of events depend on the type of event. In other words, a navigation event may require different properties to be defined than a validation event.
