# General Information

To create portal from FB org created from TSO5, following elements are already pre-configured from brand new demo org. Portal name is called `FieldBuddy Portal` and below are some pictures how it looks


1. Permission Set with permissions for all objects/ fields - `FieldBuddy Customer Community`
2. Profile with Customer Community License - `FieldBuddy Customer Community`
3. Sharing Set - `FieldBuddy Customer Community` (gives a read-only access to Location, IP and Account, and read/write access to Service Request for account of current user’s contact)
4. Flow `Create Service Request Portal` - allows to create new Service Request for IP of current users’s account
5. Digital Experience `FieldBuddy Portal` It has 4 tabs –
  1. Home - Links to Create Service Request
  2. Locations
  3. Installed Products
  4. Service Requests


# Activation of Customer Portal

Following steps are necessary to activate a portal -  Go to Setup → Digital Experiences → All Sites → click on Builder near to FieldBuddy Portal.

After it loads – click Publish (top right corner)

After that, go to Administration

And  in Settings - click Activate. Then it will be possible to login via Site url

# User Management

### How to create a user

1. Go to any contact
  
2. Click Enable Customer User
3. Pick proper license (Customer Community), profile (FIeldBuddy Community User)  and adjust user details (Email etc if needed)
  
4. Click save. If error is shown - setup Roles first-- check page [https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=000389462&type=1](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=000389462&type=1) about roles (in a nutshell, in order to create users for contacts – account owner of parent account should have roles specified).
    Go to Setup → Roles and click Setup Roles
  2. Click add new Role (CEO for example)
  3. Go to current user (System Administrator one, who is the Owner of a Account for Contact on which Portal user is Created) and assign Role into it
  4. Now portal user should be saved without any errors
5. Assign for newly-created user permission set **FieldBuddy Customer Portal** from user details page
  
6. Assign FieldBuddy license from user details page
  

### How to login to portal via Salesforce

1. Go to contact,  click  Log in to Experience as user

# Steps if you create Community Elements from older environments

If you need to enable community for an existing org of FieldBuddy customer, then you can create elements via following guide

### Create Permission Set

1. Go to Setup → Permission Sets → Create new one called FieldBuddy Customer Portal
2. License should be Customer Community
3. Give an access to following objects and fields in those (do not do modify all)
  1. Account
  2. Location
  3. Installed Product
  4. Service Request

Create new Profile

1. Go to setup/profiles
2. Click new Profile
3. Pick Customer Community as **Existing Profile**
4. Name profiled FieldBuddy Community User
5. Click Save

Sharing Sets 

1. Go to Setup → Digital Experiences → Settings
2. Click on existing one (Customer Community) and click Edit
3. Pick FIeldBuddy Community User as profile
  Select IP, Acc, Location, SR as records to share
5. set level for account
  
6. Set sharing level for IP, SR and LOC
  

### PreConfigure Digital Experience  


Below are steps to assign permission set and profile to existing digital experience. If that does not exist – you will need to create new one

1. Go to Setup > Digital Experiences → All Sites → Builder
2. Click in top right menu and go to Administration
3. Go to Members and pick FieldBuddy Custom Portal pemissionset
  Click Save
4. Go to  Builder
5. Publish portal
  Completed!
