Our planning application requires the following for it to run properly.

# Hardware

The following hardware is selected based on our benchmarks. Each customer can have a unique scenario, read the [parameters that impact performance](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5183340667/Hardware+and+software+requirements+FieldBuddy+Dispatch+Panel+V2#Parameters-that-impact-performance) in order to understand the performance of the application.

## Minimal required hardware

- 8 GB memory
- Intel 9th generation or similar
- 1920x1080p screen resolution
- Support for hardware acceleration for WebGL (to use map)

## Recommended hardware

- 16 GB memory
- Intel 11th generation or similar
- 3840x2160p screen resolution
- Support for hardware acceleration for WebGL (to use map)

# Software

Latest version of [Google Chrome](https://www.google.com/intl/en_us/chrome/). Other browsers might work but are officially not supported by FieldBuddy. If you have any issues using the [FieldBuddy Dispatch Panel](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5183307777/FieldBuddy+Glossary#FieldBuddy-Dispatch-Panel), please make sure you are using Google Chrome.

The operating system should be MacOS or Windows, fully updated. Recommended is Windows 10, Windows 11 and MacOS 13, 14, 15, 26 or newer.

> ℹ️ Google Chrome freezes tabs that are temporarily idle and thus it can freeze the FieldBuddy Dispatch Panel V2 while you are not working in that browser-tab. This causes the user to experience the DPV2 to (re)load when clicking on the tab. This is normal Google Chrome behaviour and is there to save memory and CPU.

# Parameters that impact performance

## Data

The amount of data shown in the Dispatch Panel is a key parameter in the application performance. The more data, the faster the computer is required. Comparable with Microsoft Excel, opening an Excel file with 100-lines works on every PC. If you require to open up a million lines file, a better PC is required.

The following key data impacts the performance of the FieldBuddy Dispatch Panel:

1. Amount of [Resource Assignments](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5183307777/FieldBuddy+Glossary#Resource-Assignments) (appointments)
2. Amount of [Work Orders](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5183307777/FieldBuddy+Glossary#Work-Order) that are loaded in the bottom panel via [listings](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5183307777/FieldBuddy+Glossary#Listings)
3. Amount of [Resources](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5183307777/FieldBuddy+Glossary#Resource)

## Settings

The following settings in the FieldBuddy Dispatch Panel impact your performance:

1. [Your zoom](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5183406240) setting (lower is faster)
2. [Map ](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5183406240)(map disabled is faster)
3. [Full-screen](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5183406240) (full-screen is faster)

## Configuration

The following configuration impacts the FieldBuddy Dispatch Panel:

1. The amount of data on the [Resource Assignment](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5183307777/FieldBuddy+Glossary#Resource-Assignments) block
2. The amount of configuration that is fired in the [back-end](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5183307777/FieldBuddy+Glossary#Back-end) when modifying data can impact synchronisation speed.
3. The performance settings in the [menu](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5183406240) within the FieldBuddy Dispatch Panel

## Computer and browser settings

Your computer/browser settings:

1. [Browser-scaling](https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/96810?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop#:~:text=Zoom%20in%20or%20out%20on,On%20your%20computer%2C%20open%20Chrome.&text=Next%20to%20%22Zoom%2C%22%20choose,everything%20larger%3A%20Click%20Zoom%20in) should be turned off (hit: CTRL 0 on the keyboard)
2. Amount of tabs open in your browser
3. Amount of applications running in the background
4. Overall CPU and Memory usage of the computer by other applications
5. Operating system scaling should be preferable set to 100% on 1080p.
