The configuration of the mobile application FieldBuddy Swift is a description of how the application should be displayed and which business rules are applicable. This configuration is stored in [JSON ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JSON)and stored in in the [FieldBuddy Service Center](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5041750021), and can be accessed using the [Configuration Editor](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/3094808809).

## Goal

This goal of this guide is to explain how to do changes in the configuration and explain what configuration options there are available.

FieldBuddy Swift Configuration consists from 2 parts

- Briefcase
- Configuration

Briefcase describes which data is stored locally on the mobile app. It determines what data is [synchronized](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/4580573186) between the [FieldBuddy Service Center](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5041750021) and the mobile application. It is then the configuration that determines what data is displayed and how its being used.
