In this article, I’ll explain how you can assign a FieldBuddy Swift configuration configuration for the user. This is required for all the users that are supposed to use FieldBuddy Swift mobile app.

Steps

1. From the :Hamburger_menu: menu in top left corner, type **'Config' **and press** “Configuration Editor”**.
2. Click the configuration version that you want to assign and head over to the **‘Assignment’** tab.
3. From the dropdown menu, you can select which User you want to assign to this configuration. You could also perform filtering on username via checking respective checkbox

4. After selecting the desired user from the dropdown menu, click ‘**assign’**.

> ⚠️ Make sure the configuration that you want to assign has the status ‘**Active’**. Otherwise, you cannot assign that configuration to your User.

> ⚠️ When you assign a (new) configuration to your user, let the user log out of the application and log back in to force a hard sync.
> ⚠️ That can be done either via Actions ([https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/4921393153](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/4921393153) )or by asking user directly
> ⚠️
> ⚠️ Otherwise, your user will remain on the old version of the configuration.
