In this article, I’ll explain how you can add notes to your configuration and briefcase, so you know who has made the changes and when. Each individual company can determine which kind of information they want a note to contain.

# How to add notes to your configuration and briefcase?

1. From the configuration editor, click the configuration version that you want to add notes to. And click **'notes'**.
2. In this text box, you can add your notes to the configuration.
3. Add your notes and press ‘**save’**.

> ℹ️ To add notes your configuration can either be in Draft or Activated

> 📝 Best Use case for using notes:
> 📝 
> 📝 - have your most recent notes at the top of the page
> 📝 - Use initials of the person who did the changes, so you know who was responsible
> 📝 - Use data/time stamps, so you know when the changes have been made
