# Introduction

On this page I’ll cover how you can add, delete, replace or deactivate picklist values. This applies to all picklist fields, regardless of the object.

> 1. Search for the field “status”.
>   Access the field by clicking on the name of the field (2) or use the dropdown menu on the right side (3).
> 3. Navigate to the ‘**values’** section at the bottom of the page.
> 4. Click ‘**new’**, add one or more values. If you want to add more values, separate each value on its own line.

## How to reorder values?

1. In the values section, navigate to** “reorder”**.
  
2. Select one or more values and use the arrows to reorder the values.
  Press ‘**save'** when you are done.

> ℹ️ You can also set a new default value from the dropdown menu or display the values alphabetically, not in the order entered.

## How to replace values?

> ⚠️ Some field may impact mobile configuration. Changes here can therefore impact the sync between swift and back-end.
> ⚠️ 
> ⚠️ The pre-configured statuses (open, in progress etc.) should **not** be modified, deleted, replaced or deactivated without asking a consultant.
> ⚠️ 
> ⚠️ Also, deleting a status doesn’t mean that Mobile won’t see the status anymore. This requires mobile configuration.

1. In the values section, navigate to** “replace”**.
  
2. Type the exact name of the value you want to replace.
  Now choose whether you want to replace it with an existing value or if you want to replace also all blank values. When you’re satisfied with the changes press ‘**replace’.**
3. Now you should see a success message stating the replacement job is in queue and that you’ll receive an e-mail when the replacement is completed.


## How to deactivate values?

1. Press deactivate on the left side of the value.
2. Confirm that you want to deactivate the value by pressing** 'ok**'.
  

### How to activate values?

1. To activate a value, navigate to** **the** “inactive values” **section.
  Press activate and the value is activated again.
  

## How to delete values?

> ⚠️ 
> ⚠️ The pre-configured statuses (open, in progress etc.) should **not** be modified, deleted, replaced or deactivated without asking a consultant.
> ⚠️ 
> ⚠️ Also, deleting a status doesn’t mean that Mobile won’t see the status anymore. This requires mobile configuration.

> ⚠️ Only delete fields if you are 100% that there is either no relevance anymore or that there is no critical data saved on this field. If you have any doubt, default to deactivating the value(s) instead.

1. Press ‘**Del****’** next to the value you want to delete.
  
2. Confirm that you want to delete the value by pressing** 'ok**'.
  
3. Choose if you want to replace the deleted value by a different value or if you want to replace it with blank values.
  Press ‘**save’** if you are satisfied.
