## Prerequisite steps for creating, editing or deleting a page layout.  

There are 2 different ways of accessing **setup** in order to create, edit or delete page layouts.

1. Path 1: click on** “edit object” **and **skip **step 2 and **proceed** with step 3. For path 2 **proceed **with** **step 2 followed by step 3.
2. From **setup**, go to the** “object manager”**.
  In the object manager, search for the object you want to create, edit or delete a page layout.
  
3. Navigate to “**Page layouts” **on the left side of the screen.


### How to edit a page layout?

1. Press on the arrow to open the dropdown menu and click** ‘edit’**. Or click on the name of the page layout you want to edit.
2. The Salesforce platform, where FieldBuddy is build on, uses a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) > Macro (anchor)

editor, which is utilizing a drag-and-drop functionality.
3. In the video below, you can see the drag-and-drop system in action. Including how to create new sections and use blank spaces.
  
4. In the video below, I’ve demonstrated how you can access additional settings per section of the page layout.

### How to create a new page layout?

1. Give your new page layout a name (1), choose if you want to clone an existing page layout (2), choose if the page layouts needs to be Feed-Based (3) and when you are done press save (4).

### How to delete a page layout?

1. Press on the arrow to open the dropdown menu and click** ‘delete’.**
  
2. Press **delete.**
  
3. In the error message, press **delete** once again.
  If you are trying to delete a page layout that is being used, you can replace that page layout with a different one. Just select the page layout that will replace the one you’re deleting and press** “replace”**.
