# \uD83D\uDCD8 Prerequisite checklist

> ℹ️ Assumptions:
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ The user has logged in to Salesforce and has system administrator rights. For more information about logging in, click [here](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sf.basics_intro_logging_in.htm&type=5).

> ℹ️ Check in advance availability for Platform licenses and FieldBuddy Licenses:
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ - Do you have enough Salesforce Platform Licenses available?
> ℹ️ - Do you have enough FieldBuddy licenses available?


# Create a new User 

1. Use the gear icon (⚙)to access the setup menu.
2. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users, and then select **Users**.
  Click **New User**.
3. Enter the user’s name and email address and a unique username in the form of an email address. By default, the username is the same as the email address.
4. Select the **Salesforce Platform License**. The user license determines which profiles are available for the user.
5. Select the profile, which specifies the user’s minimum permissions and access settings.
6. Check Generate new password and notify user immediately to have the user’s login name and a temporary password emailed to the new user.

# Assign FieldBuddy License

- Go to **Setup > Packaging > Installed Packages** and click **Manage Licenses** for the FieldBuddy managed Package
- Click Add Users to assign a license to your new user
- If the button is ‘greyed out’ all licenses are in use.
  - You can either use the Remove Multiple Licenses button to revoke another user`s license in order to make that available. (it could be that there are some licenses assigned for de-activated users)
  - Or purchase additional licenses from FieldBuddy

> ℹ️ In  case if if newly created user is a Swift users, you will need to assign a Swift configuration and create it as Resource in Dispatch Panel.
