This guide will explain you how to set-up Geocoding in your organization. This is required for planners and other users of the FieldBuddy Dispatch Panel Map.

> ℹ️ This guide requires Administrator permissions to do the set-up and access to your Google account.

## \uD83D\uDCD8 How to Configure it.

There are 3 steps to configure it - obtaining google api key, adding remote site settings and enabling of it in Configuration panel.  
Those are described below

1. OBTAINING GOOGLE API KEY  
Following step would be obtaining Google Cloud Project API key with Geocoding permissions.
  1. Navigate to [https://console.cloud.google.com/](https://console.cloud.google.com/) and create a new project. Ensure to do it on your company account
  2. For an API usage project billing should be enabled. That can be done via next steps
    1. Go to Project Details and click Billing in left menu
    2. There you can link either existing billing account or create new one
    3. There you can create/reuse existing payment profile
      
  3. After billing is enabled for project, navigate to Dashboard and click on **ENABLE APIS AND SERVICES**
  4. Search for Geocoding API and enable those. It will take a minute or two.   
Makes sense to do same for Maps Static API and Maps Javascript API

  5. Then navigate back to home, and go to **Credentials**. Click **CREATE CREDENTIALS** and select API key
  6. Enter key name and choose an API you want to have enabled. In order for Geocoding to be working, it is necessary to specify Geocoding API, for Dispatch Panel MAP – Map Static API and Maps Javascript API
    
  7. Click Save. Keep your keys secret!
2. **REMOTE SITE SETTINGS**  
It is necessary to create Remote Site Settings, with next URL  
`https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode`
3. ENABLE GEOCODING IN [CONFIGURATION PANEL](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/5365268532)  
Log in to FieldBuddy as Administrator. Open Configuration Panel. Go to Setup Geocoding, and enter there your key
