The Menu Bar  is the upper panel of the Dispatch Panel. This Menu Bar  has different settings which can be used to change the appearance of the Planning Dashboard. Below, all the settings of the Menu Bar will be explained in detail. Zoom To The DP slider 'Zoom To' Setting can be used to display different periods of time in the Planning Dashboard. Currently this setting can display 1 day, 1 week, 4 weeks or 8 weeks. Below you will find an example when the current date is  : 'Zoom to' Setting Planning Dashboard 1 day Shows 1 day. 1 week Shows 1 week from the current date. 4 weeks Shows 4 weeks from the current date. 8 weeks Shows 8 weeks from the current date. Adjust Column Width The DP slider 'Adjust Column Width' Setting can be used to make the columns of the Timeslots smaller or bigger. The 'Adjust Column Width' Setting has different minimum and maximum values according to the current 'Zoom' setting value, the amount of Timeslots and the browser size. When the zoom, amount of Timeslots or the browser size is changed, the Scheduler tries to fit all the Timeslots in the available space. The only hard coded values are the minimum and the maximum value which are 70px and 600px respectively. For a 1080P monitor, the minimum and maximum values of the 'Adjust Column Width' Setting are: 'Zoom' setting value 'Adjust Column Width' setting minimum value 'Adjust Column Width' setting maximum value 1 day 70px 600px 1 week 70px 333px 4 weeks 70px 77px 8 weeks 70px 75px When adjusting the column width of the columns within the Dispatch Panel, the new value will be stored into your own Custom Settings. If you don't have Custom Settings then the Custom Settings that work for all the accounts is edited with the new value. Adjust Row Height The DP slider 'Adjust Row Height' Setting can be used to make the row of the Resource units smaller or bigger. The minimum row height of a Resource Unit is 25px and the maximum row height of a Resource Unit is 120px. When adjusting the row height of the rows within the Dispatch Panel, the new value will be stored into your own Custom Settings. If you don't have Custom Settings then the Custom Settings that work for all the accounts is edited with the new value. View The 'View' Setting lets you choose between different kind of views for the Planning dashboard. These 'View' Setting consists of three elements: This view will show all the days of the week. So in other words Monday till Sunday. This view will show all the working days of the week. So in other words Monday till Friday. This view will show all the weekend days of the week. So in other words Saturday till Sunday. A view can also be grey coloured and then it's not clickable. This is the case when there are no available Timeslots for that view.  When you choose a view, this view will be saved to you Custom Settings so that when you refresh the Dispatch Panel the last view will be remembered. Filter By The 'Filter By' Setting lets you choose between different kind of filters for the Planning dashboard. This 'View' Setting consists of three elements: With the Timeslot filter you can choose which Timeslots should be displayed in the Planning Dashboard of the Dispatch Panel. As an User you can choose between no Timeslots, one Timeslot or two or more Timeslots to display. Timeslots can be created, edited or deleted in the Service Center at the 'Timeslots' menu. With the the Resource Unit Groups filter you can choose which Resource Unit Groups should be displayed in the Planning Dashboard of the Dispatch Panel. As an User you can choose between no Resource Unit Groups, one Resource Unit Group or two or more Resource Unit Groups to display. Resource Unit Groups can be created, edited or deleted in the Service Center at the 'Resource Unit Groups' menu. With the the Resource Units filter you can choose which Resource Units should be displayed in the Planning Dashboard of the Dispatch Panel. As an User you can choose between no Resource Units, one Resource Unit or two or more Resource Units to display. Resource Units can be created, edited or deleted in the Service Center at the 'Resource Units' menu. Miscellaneous The DP Setting   is a combination of various sub-settings, which adjusts the view of certain elements of the Planning Dashboard: Show Timeslot Resource Summary. The 'Timeslot Resource Summary' is a sub-setting within the 'Miscellaneous' setting. This sub-setting will show you all of the Resources, at the beginning of a Timeslot and on each Resource Unit, that are assigned to the Resource Unit Assignments within that same Timeslot. The Timeslot Resource Summary will move along with the Resource Unit Assignment. So moving a Resource Unit Assignment to another Timeslot/Resource Unit will cause the Timeslot Resource Summary to move to that same Timeslot/Resource Unit. Show RUA Assigned Resources. The 'RUA Assigned Resources' is a sub-setting within the 'Miscellaneous' setting. This sub-setting will show which Resources are assigned to the Resource Unit Assignments by using green beams. Those green beams are displayed at the resources that are assigned to a Resource Unit. The RUA Assigned Resources will move along with the Resource Unit Assignment. So moving a Resource Unit Assignment to another Timeslot will cause the green beams of the RUA Assigned Resources to move to another Resource/Timeslot as well. Show RUA Drop Zones. The 'Show RUA Drop Zones' is a sub-setting within the 'Miscellaneous' setting. This sub-setting will show in which Timeslots a new RUA or existing RUA can be dragged and dropped. When an User hovers over a RUA Drop Zone (grey beams with white slashes) the RUA Drop Zone will be yellow highlighted. Search The 'Search' Setting can be used to search for Resource Unit Assignments. The 'Search' Setting consists of three main elements: The 'Search Box', for searching Resource Unit Assignments, is used to put in the search expression the User wants to find within the 'Planning Dashboard' of the Dispatch Panel. The 'Search Icon', Magnifying glass, is used to perform the search of the search expression the User wants to find within the 'Planning Dashboard' of the Dispatch Panel. The 'Revert Button', Yellow Curved Arrow, is used to revert the search of the search expression the User wanted to find within the 'Planning Dashboard' of the Dispatch Panel. When an User want to perform a search he has to put a search expression into the 'Search Box' for example the WO name (e.g. WO-000006) or the Resource Unit (e.g. Afdeling A) and click the 'Search Icon'. Then, depending on the situation, there can be three outcomes: The 'Search' Setting will only search in the data that is loaded and available in the storage. Before we explain what is loaded in storage we need to know two concepts: Start date  which is the day in a week which will be used as the first day to show data on in the Dispatch Panel. Administrators can configure the default day in a week on which the Start Date must begin. They do this by using the Custom Settings (Fieldbuddy Settings) and filling in the option 'DEFAULT_STARTING_DATE'. By default (so when not filling in this option) the default Start Date is Monday of the current week. The Start Date will be automatically determined when a users chooses a date from within the calendar of the Dispatch Panel. For example: The user chooses a Thursday in a certain week in the calendar and the Dispatch Panel will automatically determine the Start Date (by default a Monday in that same week). Also it doesn't matter which zoom level you have chosen, it will take a Start Date in the same week as your chosen date. End date  which is the day in a week which will be used as the last day to show data on in the Dispatch Panel. This End Date is dependent on the Zoom Level that is chosen. So the user will choose a date in the calendar, the Dispatch Panel will determine a Start Date and dependent on the Zoom Level the End Date will be determined (End date = Start Date + Zoom Level). So which data is loaded an available in storage? The Dispatch Panel loads on month in the past counted from the Start Date, one month in the future counted from the End Date and all the data between the Start Date and End Date. What is the logic for graying out RUA's within the Dispatch panel? RUAs are greyed if they are not shown in current screen (based on zoom level, 1day, 1 week, 4 weeks, 8 weeks). So, if record is on screen, it is white, if record is not on screen, but previously loaded – it will be grey. Navigate The 'Navigate' Setting can be used to adjust the date of the data which is showed in the Planning Dashboard. The 'Navigate' Setting consists of four main elements: The 'Previous' button, which is the green arrow pointing to the left. This button will take you to the previous day, week, 4 weeks or 8 weeks, this is dependent of the 'Zoom to' Setting. The 'Date Field', which is the white box with a date mentioned in it. This box will display the current date of the day which is displayed in the Planning Dashboard or it will display the first date of the week, 4 weeks or 8 weeks which are displayed in the Planning Dashboard. Below, you will find a example, when the current date is  : The 'Calendar' button, which is the calendar icon next to the Date Field. Clicking this calendar icon will show a calendar in which you can choose a date for the Date Field. The 'Next' button, which is the green arrow pointing to the right. This button will take you to the next day, week, 4 weeks or 8 weeks, this is dependent of the 'Zoom to' Setting.
