> The planning dashboard of the Dispatch Panel looks like this:
>
> ![image]()
>
> #### Red (dotted) line
>
> The dotted red line in the Dispatch Panel indicates the current day and time. This line automatically moves from left to right within a Timeslot and from Timeslot to Timeslot. When the red dotted line is in between two Timeslots, so current time is 13:00 and you have two Timeslots 11:00-12:00 and 14:00-15:00, then the line will stay at the end of the previous Timeslot. In this case that is the 11:00-12:00 Timeslot. There is also another red line without dots at the end of each month, which indicates the transition of one month to another. Finally the red dotted line in the Dispatch Panel is always moving into a grey marked background. This grey marked background indicates the current day.
>
> #### Info button
>
> There is an 'info' button within the Dispatch Panel that can be clicked in the bottom right corner. Clicking this 'info' button gives an 'info' pop-up that displays the current version and build date of the Dispatch Panel.

> #### View
>
> You can choose different kind of views for the Planning dashboard. These views are for example:
>
> - *All days*
> This view will show all the days of the week. So in other words Monday till Sunday.
> - *Weekdays*
> This view will show all the working days of the week. So in other words Monday till Friday.
> - *Weekend*
> This view will show all the weekend days of the week. So in other words Saturday till Sunday.
>
> A view can also be grey coloured and then it's not clickable. This is the case when there are no available Timeslots for that view.
> When you choose a view, this view will be saved to you custom settings (see down below for an explanation). This is because when you refresh the Dispatch Panel the last view will be remembered.
>
> #### Planning Board (upper panel)
>
> The planning board, located at the centre of the Dispatch Panel, is automatically refreshed every 5 seconds. So when you add a Resource Unit Assignment, delete a Resource Unit Assignment and edit a Resource Unit Assignment, the Workbench will be updated within 5 seconds and the Resource Unit Assignment will appear, disappear or the records within the RUA-hover are changed. Like this:
>
> - *Resource Unit Assignment (RUA) changes in the Service Center (SC) applied automatically in the Dispatch Panel (DP)*
> When a RUA is edited and saved in the Service Center, the Planning Board of the Dispatch Panel will be automatically refreshed in 5 seconds and after that every record that is changed within the Service Center will be also updated within the RUA-hover when you move your mouse over a RUA in the Planning Board.
> - *Deleted **Resource Unit Assignments (RUA) **in the Service Center (SC) w**ill be also deleted **in the Dispatch Panel (DP)*
> When a RUA is deleted, the Planning Board of the Dispatch Panel will be automatically refreshed in 5 seconds and after that the RUA will disappear from the Planning Board.
> - *Created **Resource Unit Assignments (RUA) **in the Service Center (SC) w**ill be also appearing i**n the Dispatch Panel (DP)*
> When a RUA is created, the Planning Board of the Dispatch Panel will be automatically refreshed in 5 seconds and after that the RUA will appear within the Planning Board.
>
> #### Workbench (bottom panel)
>
> The Workbench, located at the bottom of the Dispatch Panel, is automatically refreshed every 5 seconds. So when you add a Work Order, delete a Work Order and edit a Work Order, the Workbench will be updated within 5 seconds and the Work Order will appear, disappear or the records in the fields columns are changed. Like this:
>
> - *Work Order (WO) changes in the Service Center (SC) applied automatically in the Dispatch Panel (DP)*
> When a WO is edited and saved in the Service Center, the Workbench of the Dispatch Panel will be automatically refreshed in 5 seconds and after that every record that is changed within the Service Center will be also updated within the columns in the Workbench.
>
> - *Deleted Work Orders** (WO) **in the Service Center (SC) w**ill be also deleted **in the Dispatch Panel (DP)*
> When a WO is deleted, the Workbench of the Dispatch Panel will be automatically refreshed in 5 seconds and after that the WO disappear out of the Workbench.
> - *Created Work Orders (WO)** **in the Service Center (SC) w**ill be also appearing i**n the Dispatch Panel (DP)*
> When a WO is created, the Workbench of the Dispatch Panel will be automatically refreshed in 5 seconds and after that the WO will appear within the Workbench.
>
> **Workbench - Showing an image in a column**
>
> The Workbench has the ability to show images within a column of a Listing. In order to do this you must create a 'text' Formula Field with an URL in it. You can create a 'text' Formula Field and show the image within the Workbench of the Dispatch Panel, by performing the following steps:
>
> 1. Go to Setup | Customize | -- Select the Object you are going to customize (Accounts, Case, Opportunity).
> 2. Under "Custom Fields," click New.
> 3. Select Formula.
> 4. Click Next.
> 5. Enter your custom field name, then select Text from the "Type" picklist.
> 6. Click Next.
> 7. In the "Enter Formula" screen, click Advanced Formula.
> 8. Fill in: *IMAGE("URL", "Image", 32, 32)*
> 9. Click the 'Save' button.
> 10. Go to Listings.
> 11. Add your 'text' Formula Field to a Listing.
> 12. Open the Dispatch Panel.
> 13. Select the Listing.
> 14. The image will be shown in the column with the name of the 'text' Formula Field in the Workbench of the Dispatch Panel.
>
> The maximum height of a row within the Workbench is maximum 32px, otherwise the row height will be too big because of the size of the images. So if images are bigger than 32px the images will be cut off. That's why we use row height and column width parameters in the Advanced Formula (see step 8) to make the images maximum 32px in height en width.
>
> #### Changing the Resource Unit (RU) of a Resource Unit Assignment (RUA)
>
> The RU of a RUA can be changed by doing a right click with your mouse, click the 'Edit' option and then choosing a RU out of the drop down menu at 'Resource Unit:'.

>
> #### DP Menu 'Miscellaneous'
>
> The DP setting 'Show RUA assigned Resources' is being saved into the Custom Settings and thus being remembered when that option is being checked/unchecked in the DP after the DP is refreshed.
>
> #### DP Slider 'Adjust Row Height'
>
> The DP slider 'Adjust Row Height' can be used to make the row of the Resource units smaller or bigger. The minimum row height of a Resource Unit is 25px and the maximum row height of a Resource Unit is 120px. When adjusting the row height of the rows within the Dispatch Panel, the new value will be stored into your own Custom Settings. If you don't have Custom Settings then the Custom Settings that work for all the accounts is edited with the new value.
>
> #### DP Slider 'Adjust Column Width'
>
> The DP slider 'Adjust Column Width' can be used to make the columns of the Timeslots smaller or bigger. The 'Adjust Column Width' setting has different minimum and maximum values according to the current 'Zoom' setting value, the amount of Timeslots and the browser size. When the zoom, amount of Timeslots or the browser size is changed, the Scheduler tries to fit all the Timeslots in the available space. The only hard coded values are the minimum and the maximum value which are 70px and 600px respectively. Down below, you will find a table with al the minimum and maximum values of the 'Adjust Column Width' setting for a 1080P screen:
>
> | **'Zoom' setting value** | **'Adjust Column Width' setting minimum value** | **'Adjust Column Width' setting maximum value** |
> | --- | --- | --- |
> | 1 day | 70px | 600px |
> | 1 week | 70px | 333px |
> | 4 weeks | 70px | 77px |
> | 8 weeks | 70px | 75px |
>
> When adjusting the column width of the columns within the Dispatch Panel, the new value will be stored into your own Custom Settings. If you don't have Custom Settings then the Custom Settings that work for all the accounts is edited with the new value.
>
> #### DP Workbench Height
>
> The Workbench window can be made bigger and smaller. The minimal height is 25% of the Dispatch Panel screen and the maximum height is 50% of the Dispatch Panel screen. There is also a small button in the top middle of the Workbench window that can be used to collapse the window.
>
> #### Custom Settings Dispatch Panel
>
> The Custom Settings in the Dispatch Panel are settings that can change some settings within the Dispatch Panel. For example the Timeslot format or which view should be activated by default etc. You can find the Custom Settings of the Dispatch Panel at the following page: [Custom Settings Dispatch Panel](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/2280160144).

> When the Dispatch Panel has problems it will give an error pop-up in the top right corner. These pop-ups automatically disappear after a few seconds or by clicking on them.
>
> Error messages are shown in the following situations:

The Resource Unit Assignments order within a Resource Unit and Timeslot will then change into a different order than before, but will stay within the same Resource Unit and Timeslot.
>
> #### Listing
>
> At the bottom panel of the Dispatch Panel, also called the Workbench, there is a dropdown menu where you can choose out of your created Listings in the Service Center. When a Listing is chosen in the Dispatch Panel it is saved to your Fieldbuddy Custom Settings: 'DP: Selected WO Listing (UI Cache)'. So when you refresh the Dispatch Panel the last Listing you have chosen will be loaded into the Dispatch Panel. You can create a Listing within the Service Center at the 'Listings' tab. Within the different 'Listings' you can add fields that will be showed in the columns within the Workbench. You can also add fields with the same name to the Dispatch Panel, like the 'Status' field of Work Order and the 'Status' field of Service Request. Another example is adding two or more of the same fields, like adding the same 'Name' field three times, the Dispatch Panel will not give any errors then.

> #### Configurable Menu's
>
> Within the Dispatch Panel there are different menu's that now can be configured to launch certain pages. The following menu's can be configured:
>
> - *Resource Unit Assignment* Menu
> [Resource Unit Assignment Context menu](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/2281733106).

> #### Search
>
> Within the Dispatch Panel you can search for Resource Unit Assignments and for Work Orders:
>
> - *With the search box in the upper panel of the Dispatch Panel, the Planning Dashboard, you can find Resource Unit Assignments, Resource Units etc.*
> The search box to find anything within the Planning Dashboard works in two three ways:
> - *No results.*
> When there are no results, the search box will display a pop-up with the message 'No results found'. This message will be displayed in the user it's own configured language at the user settings.
> - *One result.*
> When the search matches only one result then the Planning Dashboard will automatically move to the date and time of that result. When the search matches a result within the text of a Resource Unit Assignment (RUA), then that RUA will be marked yellow with a red border.
> - *Two or more results*
> A search Result Box will appear with all the search results. Those search results within the Search Result Box are clickable and when a result is being clicked the Planning Dashboard will jump to the date and time of that result. When the search matches a result within the text of a Resource Unit Assignment (RUA), then that RUA will be marked yellow with a red border.
> - *With the search box in the panel below, the Workbench, you find Work Orders, Column Data etc.*
>
> Both options will only search in the data that is loaded and available in the storage.
>
> #### Search language
>
> The language which is displayed within the search box of the Planning Dashboard of the Dispatch Panel and the text which is displayed in the search pop-up when having no results, will always be displayed in the language that the User has configured at his user settings in the Salesforce Service Center.
>
> Within the Dispatch Panel all of the Time fields (e.g. the Timeslots, Start Time, End Time etc.) will be displayed in the users it's Time Format. This can be done in two ways:
>
> - You configure the Timezone and the correct Time Format will be given (Standard Method).
> - You configure the 'DP: TimeSlot Time Format' option and the Time will be given in that format (this option overrides the standard Time Format method acquiring). See here how to configure this → [Custom Settings Dispatch Panel](https://upperdeck.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FBDOCS/pages/2280160144).
>
> #### Opening two Dispatch Panel windows
>
> The Dispatch Panel can be openend simultaneously in different browser windows. For example when having openend two browser windows, it doesn't matter wetter you make changes in the first Dispatch Panel browser window or the second Dispatch Panel browser window, because all of the changes will be synced and then correctly displayed on both of the browser windows.

>
> #### Scaling of the column width
>
> The setting maximum value of the 'Adjust Column Width' should be automatically adjusted according to the value of the 'Zoom' setting. So when the zoom is set from one day to a week, 4 weeks or 8 weeks and the 'adjust column width' setting was set to the maximum value, the Dispatch Panel will adjust the maximum value of the 'adjust column width' to a lower value.
>
> **Timeslot Resource Summary**
>
> The Timeslot Resource Summary is an option within the 'Miscellaneous' setting. This option will show you all of the Resources, at the beginning of a Timeslot and on each Resource Unit, that are assigned to the Resource Unit Assignments within that same Timeslot. The Timeslot Resource Summary will move along with the Resource Unit Assignment. So moving a Resource Unit Assignment to another Timeslot/Resource Unit will cause the Timeslot Resource Summary to move to that same Timeslot/Resource Unit.
>

>
> **RUA Assigned Resources**
>
> The RUA Assigned Resources is an option within the 'Miscellaneous' setting. This option will show which Resources are assigned to the Resource Unit Assignments by using green beams. Those green beams are displayed at the resources that are assigned to a Resource Unit. The RUA Assigned Resources will move along with the Resource Unit Assignment. So moving a Resource Unit Assignment to another Timeslot will cause the green beams of the RUA Assigned Resources to move to another Resource/Timeslot as well.

> **RUA Start Time, End Time and Duration**
>
> *Old situation*
>
> Currently, when you drag a Work Order into the board in order to create an appointment(RUA), you do not have control of the Start and End time of that appointment. When you drop it into a timeslot, the start and end time will be set using the start and end time of the timeslot in which its dropped.
>
> *New situation*
>
> We now have 3 options regarding the duration of a RUA and they are executed in the following order:
>
> 1. Custom Setting 'DP: Default RUA Duration(UI Cache)'.
> This setting will set the default duration of all the new RUA's (The Work Orders which are dropped out of the Workbench into the Planning Dashboard) to the value that's inserted at this Custom Setting. This setting can be entered in hours and in minutes, but you need to fill in a percentage for the minutes. So for example: you want to fill in 4 hours as the default RUA duration, then the Field at this Custom Setting must have the value 4. Another option within this setting is to enter the duration in hours and in minutes, but then you need to fill in a percentage for the minutes. So if you would like to enter a duration of 4 hours en 26 minutes you need to enter 4 and a percentage in this case 43 (so you enter 4,43). You can culculate this percentage by performing the following sum: '(100/60) * amount of minutes' ((100/60) * 26 = 43). The Start Time of the RUA will be the same as the clock indicates when dragging the RUA into the Planning Dashboard. The End Time will match the Start Time + RUA Duration.
> 2. Custom Setting 'DP: Default RUA Duration on WO(UI Cache)'.
> This setting will set the default duration of one RUA's (The Work Orders which are dropped out of the Workbench into the Planning Dashboard) to the value that's filled in at the field under Work Order. This API of this field under Work Order will be filled in at the Custom Setting. So for example: the Field under Work Order has the value 4 and the field API is filled in at the Custom Setting 'DP: Default RUA Duration on WO(UI Cache)', then the default duration of all the RUA's which are coming out of that Work Order will have the value 4. Another option within this setting is to enter the duration in hours and in minutes within this Field under Work Order, but then you need to fill in a percentage for the minutes. So if you would like to enter a duration of 4 hours en 26 minutes you need to enter 4 and a percentage in this case 43 (so you enter 4,43). You can culculate this percentage by performing the following sum: '(100/60) * amount of minutes' ((100/60) * 26 = 43). With this setting you can set separate durations for all the RUA's that are coming out of different Work Orders. The Start Time of the RUA will be the same as the clock indicates when dragging the RUA into the Planning Dashboard. The End Time will match the Start Time + RUA Duration.
> 3. Both Custom Settings 'DP: Default RUA Duration(UI Cache)' and 'DP: Default RUA Duration on WO(UI Cache)' aren't filled in.
> When both of the Custom Settings aren't filled in, the RUA Duration will be that of the Timeslot length. So the Start Time and End Time will match the Start Time and End Time of the Timeslot.
