> ✅ Upgrading FlexConnect is done in the same way as installing a package. A custom URL might be provisioned by us. This guide describes important upgrade steps.

### Important considerations

Upgrade should be done for **Administrators** only. (Unless you want FlexConnect to be configured by non-admin user)

### Upgrade steps per version

#### 1.20.x to 1.21.x

Upgrade from 1.20.x to 1.21.x requires a manual step to update page layouts.

**Updating Object Mapping Page Layout**

i. After upgrade, go to Setup → Object Manager → Object Mapping → Page Layouts

ii. Edit a layout and add the field **Queueable Job Delay**.

iii. Click Save.

iv. Repeat steps i to iii for all page layouts.

#### 1.19.x to 1.20.x

Upgrade from 1.19.x to 1.20.x requires a manual step - it is necessary to add a picklist value `IXON`. 

After the upgrade, go to Setup → Objects -> **Service Provider**, open field **Provider Type.**  
Scroll until the bottom and near Values Click new.

Add new Value  `IXON` and click Save

Then go To Field Dependencies for Protocol, and click Edit

Activate Rest for `IXON` and click Save

#### 1.18.x to 1.19.x

Upgrade from 1.18.x to 1.19.x will require manual steps to update page layouts and re-start of scheduled job.

**Updating Object Mapping Page Layout**

i. After upgrade, Go to Setup → Object Manager → Object Mapping → Page Layouts

ii. Edit a layout and add the field **Salesforce-side filter Criteria** under the Filter section as shown below.

iii. Click Save.

iv. Repeat steps i to iii for all page layouts.

**Updating Field Mapping Page Layout**

i. Go to Setup → Object Manager → Field Mapping → Page Layouts → EOL

ii. Add the field **Outbound Response Mapping** under the Fields section as shown below.

iii. Click Save.

iv. Repeat steps i to iii for Clickker page layout.

**Audit Trail Archival Setup**

Go to FlexConnect → Configuration Manager → Schedule Audit Trails Removal

Input the age of log files (in Days)

Select Audit Statuses (multi-select)

Select Mapping Type (Inbound/Outbound or Both).

Click Update Settings → Schedule Job

This will schedule an automated deletion job running @ 1:30 AM everyday.

**Restart Scheduled Job**

Go to FlexConnect → Service Providers and for each provider Stop and Start scheduled job

#### 1.17.x to 1.18.x

Upgrade from 1.17.x to 1.18.x will require a manual step - it is necessary to add a picklist value `Clickker` for Type Field  for Service Provider, as well as introducing new Market - `DE`. 

After upgrade, go to Setup → Objects - > **Service Provider**, open field **Provider Type.**  
Scroll until the bottom and near Values Click new.

Add new Value  `Clickker` and click Save

Then go To Field Dependencies for Protocol, and click Edit

Activate Rest for `Clickker` and click Save

Then go to Market picklist, add new value `DE`. Make sure to activate it for the controlling field for `Provider Type` - `EOL` value

Last one – add new entry to remote site setting `https://start.exactonline.de/`  


#### 1.17.x to 1.17.x

1. Upgrade from **1.17.x **to to** 1.17.x**  does not require any configuration changes. Just install the package, but also check if session is not expired (via button Show User Info) on service provider level for EOL

#### Older Upgrades 

1. Upgrade from **1.12.x and newer versions (1.13.x, 1.14.x, 1.15.x, 1.16.x)** to** 1.17.x** does not require any configuration changes. Only thing that is necessary is to ensure that authorisation is working  the same way for Exact Online integrations (using API tool or View EOL usage button in Service Provider) and it will make sense to update Object Mapping page layout for EOL Record type to include Timestamp field!
2. Upgrade from **1.10.x and 1.11.x** to **1.17.x** does not require any configuration changes. But it might be necessary to update Field Mapping, Object Mapping page layouts to include extra fields that were recently added (like in step above)
